GTO: Group Planning Exercise- Kidnap
Guys I have putted
one GPE/MPE Exercise for practice earlier and now again I am putting another GPE
asked in GTO section of SSB Interview. Practice it well, you will know basic
idea of how to perform well in GPE.

Narrative
You are a group of students come from Amarpur for picnic and
you are presently at Rest House near river. After enjoying picnic you decided
to go back to your location but minibus you were travelling developed some mechanical
fault and it will take approximately one hour to get it repaired. As you were
thinking about the problem a villager from Tulsi came to you and told that while
he was going to his village six militants were planning to loot village Kalsi
at around 3:30 p.m.
And simultaneously two of the miscreants of the same group
will go for kidnapping a rich person at village Kali at 4:00 pm. After finishing
the work, all six miscreants will come to Kirti, collect illegal items as
planned and catch the train at 4:30pm from the railway station. In the meanwhile
a person approaches you, and tell you that he has lost his monkey which is his
primary livelihood and approaches you for help to terrace the animal.
While you were listening to the villager, a local person
came to you and informs you that due to land slide, rocks have fallen on the
railway track and a passenger train is likely to start from Sherpur railway
staton at 2:30pm causing a likely threat which may result into a train
accident.
Following
additional information is available
- Two boats are available near RH.
- Weapons are there in village Kalsi
- District HQ and city is approachable at a distance of 10km around the sketch.
Present tie is 2:30 pm as brave young students what will be
your course of action.
Solution
We are ten in our group and face the following problems:
- To clear the railway track and save the life of passengers in train
- Save the life of that person who is going to be kidnapped.
- Nabbing of militants
- Problem of monkeys.
Time is now 2:30 pm and will take fifteen minutes for
planning and will follow the understated course of actions.
Two of us will take the jeep close to the highway and will directly
move towards the railway station and will inform the railway authorities about
the landslide on the railway track.
We will also inform Sherpur as well as Lakhanpur Railway
station and try to stop the train at Sherpur railway station before 2:30 pm. The
distance from rest house to railway station is approximately 8km and we will
cover the distance in 15min. this job will be completed around 2:25pm and the
the same students will move towards Lakhanpur and inform the police and other
higher authorities about militants around 3:45pm and will report back to the
rest house.
Simultaneously, four of us will take a jeep from the road
and move village Kali by mobilizing weapons and four villagers and save the
person who is likely to be kidnapped at the 4 pm by the miscreants. We will take
position, attack them and nab them and in the meanwhile we expect the police to
arrive and will hand over the miscreants to the police. Simultaneous three of
us will take the boat and move towards village Kalsi and provide all possible
help to the villagers and complete the task. Thereafter, we will assemble at
the appointed place and move back to our locations.

dnt u think thr r lot mistakes in timing....if its alrdy 2:30 then how can u resolve the problem which include stopping train before any accident bt as u mention above train would leave at 2:30 frm sherpur it woud take about 30 minute to cover a distance of 32 km.mean while 2 of us would leave for kali railway crossing the distance is bout 1 and half km so they would cover it in about 8-10 minutes informing at the crossing they woud stop the train till track get repair. nd now wud go to kali to inform the richnperson and usin his vehicle would inform D headquarte which is 10 km away covering the distance in 10 minutes simultaneously 2 of them using boat woud reach kalsi covering the distance in boat about 12 minute nd aftr tht by walk about 4 minute and wud infrm thr about robbery. nd simultaneously remaing 2 wud help the villager to find out his monkey among animals.aftr complting the task with the help of the police cauth all six miscreants and left to home.

according to priority problems to be solved are

our group divided into 3,3,2,2 persons
first group of 2 were go to district hq by the vehicle on highway and inform to the police and ndrf team.simultaneously group of 3 were reach to railway track and remove the landslides until ndrf team reach.another group of 3 were reach to kalsi village to alert the people about miscreants and nabed the miscreants later handover to police.another group of 2 were go to kali village through repaired jeep after 1 hr to protect the rich person who is going to be kidnapped and nab the two miscreants with help of villagers.after completing these tasks finally some of us go to trace the monkey.
after we all reassemble at one place and move to destination
timings:
*for planning takes 10 min.2.30-2.40pm
*group of 2 go to amarpur 10 km, 10 min. police to reach kalsi takes 35 min 2.40-3.15 pm.ndrf team takes to reach railway track in 30 min i.e 2.40-3.10 pm.
*group of 2 to reach kalsi village takes 20 min i.e 2.40-3.00 pm
*group of 2 were go kali village takes 10 min i.e 3.30 to 3.40 pm(bcoz jeep get repaired in 1 hr i.e 2.30-3.30).

dividing the group into 3 subgroups of 4-4-2.
1. Group A will take a car from resthouse and travel to railway crossing as seen in the picture and inform the authorities. Travel- 6km Start Time- 2:45pm, Time Now- 3:00pm.
2. Group B will take boats and travel to kalsi. 3 will stay and collect the villagers and accessories needed in operation. 1 will go to the district hq by taking motorcycle of village and inform authorities.
Start Time: 2:45pm
Time Now: 3:15pm
3. 2 person will get down of car and rectify problem 1 and another 2 person will go to kali village in the same car and inform the parents of girl as well as the authorities in village.
Start Time: 3:00pm
Time Now: 3:15pm
4. Rest 2 people left help finding the person's monkey.
All will meet at rest house only after completing the assigned tasks before 3:45pm.
